How to uninstall openslide-tools from Ubuntu

Uninstall openslide-tools

To uninstall just openslide-tools package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove openslide-tools

Uninstall openslide-tools and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the openslide-tools package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove openslide-tools

Purging openslide-tools

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of openslide-tools from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge openslide-tools

To delete configuration and/or data files of openslide-tools and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge openslide-tools
