How to uninstall ncbi-tools-x11 from Ubuntu

Uninstall ncbi-tools-x11

To uninstall just ncbi-tools-x11 package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove ncbi-tools-x11

Uninstall ncbi-tools-x11 and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the ncbi-tools-x11 package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove ncbi-tools-x11

Purging ncbi-tools-x11

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of ncbi-tools-x11 from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge ncbi-tools-x11

To delete configuration and/or data files of ncbi-tools-x11 and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge ncbi-tools-x11
