How to uninstall mythtv-transcode-utils from Ubuntu

Uninstall mythtv-transcode-utils

To uninstall just mythtv-transcode-utils package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove mythtv-transcode-utils

Uninstall mythtv-transcode-utils and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the mythtv-transcode-utils package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove mythtv-transcode-utils

Purging mythtv-transcode-utils

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of mythtv-transcode-utils from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge mythtv-transcode-utils

To delete configuration and/or data files of mythtv-transcode-utils and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge mythtv-transcode-utils
