How to uninstall libxft2 from Ubuntu

Uninstall libxft2

To uninstall just libxft2 package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove libxft2

Uninstall libxft2 and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the libxft2 package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove libxft2

Purging libxft2

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of libxft2 from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge libxft2

To delete configuration and/or data files of libxft2 and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge libxft2
