How to uninstall libx264-142 from Ubuntu

Uninstall libx264-142

To uninstall just libx264-142 package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove libx264-142

Uninstall libx264-142 and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the libx264-142 package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove libx264-142

Purging libx264-142

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of libx264-142 from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge libx264-142

To delete configuration and/or data files of libx264-142 and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge libx264-142
