How to uninstall libffi5 from Ubuntu

Uninstall libffi5

To uninstall just libffi5 package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove libffi5

Uninstall libffi5 and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the libffi5 package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove libffi5

Purging libffi5

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of libffi5 from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge libffi5

To delete configuration and/or data files of libffi5 and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge libffi5
