How to uninstall libdb4.7-dev from Ubuntu

Uninstall libdb4.7-dev

To uninstall just libdb4.7-dev package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove libdb4.7-dev

Uninstall libdb4.7-dev and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the libdb4.7-dev package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove libdb4.7-dev

Purging libdb4.7-dev

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of libdb4.7-dev from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge libdb4.7-dev

To delete configuration and/or data files of libdb4.7-dev and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge libdb4.7-dev
