How to uninstall cups-server-common from Ubuntu

Uninstall cups-server-common

To uninstall just cups-server-common package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove cups-server-common

Uninstall cups-server-common and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the cups-server-common package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove cups-server-common

Purging cups-server-common

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of cups-server-common from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge cups-server-common

To delete configuration and/or data files of cups-server-common and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge cups-server-common
