How to uninstall cl-rsm-bitcomp from Ubuntu

Uninstall cl-rsm-bitcomp

To uninstall just cl-rsm-bitcomp package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove cl-rsm-bitcomp

Uninstall cl-rsm-bitcomp and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the cl-rsm-bitcomp package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove cl-rsm-bitcomp

Purging cl-rsm-bitcomp

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of cl-rsm-bitcomp from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge cl-rsm-bitcomp

To delete configuration and/or data files of cl-rsm-bitcomp and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge cl-rsm-bitcomp

This is R. Scott McIntire's Common Lisp Bit Compression library. This package provides a set of functions to create, and perform boolean operations on compressed bit strings. Effectively, a run length encoding of bits is used as a representation.

apt-get remove is identical to install except that packages are removed instead of installed. Note that removing a package leaves its configuration files on the system.
