How to uninstall cinnamon-common from Ubuntu

Uninstall cinnamon-common

To uninstall just cinnamon-common package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove cinnamon-common

Uninstall cinnamon-common and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the cinnamon-common package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove cinnamon-common

Purging cinnamon-common

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of cinnamon-common from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge cinnamon-common

To delete configuration and/or data files of cinnamon-common and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge cinnamon-common
