How to uninstall chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree from Ubuntu

Uninstall chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree

To uninstall just chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree

Uninstall chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree

Purging chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree

To delete configuration and/or data files of chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree
