How to uninstall bind9-host from Ubuntu

Uninstall bind9-host

To uninstall just bind9-host package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove bind9-host

Uninstall bind9-host and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the bind9-host package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove bind9-host

Purging bind9-host

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of bind9-host from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge bind9-host

To delete configuration and/or data files of bind9-host and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge bind9-host
