How to uninstall avida-viewer from Ubuntu

Uninstall avida-viewer

To uninstall just avida-viewer package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove avida-viewer

Uninstall avida-viewer and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the avida-viewer package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove avida-viewer

Purging avida-viewer

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of avida-viewer from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge avida-viewer

To delete configuration and/or data files of avida-viewer and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge avida-viewer
