How to uninstall atmel-firmware from Ubuntu

Uninstall atmel-firmware

To uninstall just atmel-firmware package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove atmel-firmware

Uninstall atmel-firmware and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the atmel-firmware package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove atmel-firmware

Purging atmel-firmware

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of atmel-firmware from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge atmel-firmware

To delete configuration and/or data files of atmel-firmware and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge atmel-firmware
