How to uninstall ant1.8 from Ubuntu

Uninstall ant1.8

To uninstall just ant1.8 package itself from Ubuntu execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove ant1.8

Uninstall ant1.8 and it's dependent packages

To uninstall the ant1.8 package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed on Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get autoremove ant1.8

Purging ant1.8

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of ant1.8 from Ubuntu then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge ant1.8

To delete configuration and/or data files of ant1.8 and it's dependencies from Ubuntu then execute:

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge ant1.8
